Watching the presidential candidates suck up to these 'religious leaders' in their quest to win votes is all the reason one needs to affirm our founding fathers belief that the church (all churches) should be kept out of the business of running the country. You are the educated ones now; is the story of Armageddon anything more than self fulfilling prophecy between the competing religions? And if so, then won't we be better off to let the fools kill each other off for their competing Gods? And if one of them (Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist), any one of them, die and return from Heaven we can be jealous. Otherwise, put this life above all else because it is all we have. My advice; no man is closer to God than another. I have never seen an angel, miracle, anybody rise from the dead. I have never seen a ghost. Things have happened in my Life I could not explain too. My point? Life is what it is. First hand perception... it's all you get. Love it . Cherish it. Make yours, yours. In the final analysis, seize the day. We can hope for more as we get older. We can fear death. We can believe in the after-life, but why does it always take money to support the faith? Like beggars with their hands out... selling something for your fears, or conscience, or pain. The opiate of the masses.
McCain and Obama should do their next debate up here in southern Oregon where we recognize what's real and base decisions in this world accordingly.
McCain is more dangerous than ever as far as I'm concerned. Voting for McCain is like supporting the Ayatollah. Archaic thinking for the future. Soon we'll be as far behind as the Iranians... and look what living in the past and strong religious beliefs has done for the land of the grudge. McCain and the Evangelists are the first step toward being a Taliban! How about McCain and the Mormon? Everybody Google 'The Bible Vs The Book of Mormon' and see what Mormon scholars are saying about the book of Romney. Gotta Go, Remember 'Separation of Church and State'. God can hang out for us each individually if desired.

Now It Is Our Time
It is now Your Time Gentlemen.
It is your duty and responsibility to the American People to speak out from Experience, Memory, and Knowledge; Those who were alive in the seventies, Who Remember the Protests, The Administrations Lies, the Bullshit, and especially those who served as proud Americans and saw the cost, first hand, of at the expense of the 1%. Those who were shelled, while Shell oil transports sat in the harbor within range of the enemy's weapons, but were immune to attack because Shell paid the Vietnamese not to do so. It is your duty to remind America of the guile of her politicians. (One of many stories the country should be reminded of...)
And why now? Because there are many other similarities between the seventies and the present, that those who were there should remember. The reason we were in Vietnam?
To stop the ‘spread’ of communism? And today’s fear? The ‘spread’ of nuclear weapons. And who is using that ‘spread’ word and continuing to propagate fear of ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ and ‘Al Qaeda in Iraq’ and ‘Axis of Terror’ etc?
Our GOOD OL' BOY: John McCain for no change. This jerk wants to recycle the mistakes of the Seventies; probably thinks our memories are completely up in smoke!
Another similarity to the Seventies? Recession. Inflation. Skyrocketing oil prices (Vietnam wasn't helping. Iraq isn't helping).
And the Commander of all US forces in the Pacific? John McCain's Father. 1968.
A Position very Close to the top, I would imagine. A man whom would know the truth, have to be a team player and, maybe, get a cut of the Profit? Or maybe have his wife get a cut? We questioned the whole damn war, so why shouldn't I now question the integrity of the Admiral, and his successor? The Vietnam war was an imperialistic military action for a Profit. So is Iraq. Like father like Son. Let's remember and end it now!
John McCain is showing the signs of a man who will do anything to win.
How Senator McCain can stand and state that Senator Obama has no right to question his action in regards to our veteran affairs because Senator Obama is not a veteran is outrageous. It is exactly the kind of arrogance and attitude that makes Senator John McCain a dangerous candidate, and a pompous asshole.
I spent six years in the Army, and my family spent three hundred years before that conquering, and defending this country, so that everyone (including Senator Obama) can give their opinion and question the Powers that be! I am American; would the Senator ever question my right to question him by virtue of his position?
Additionally, Senator McCain is willing to continue the current policies that waste billions of dollars a day, yet votes against a bill for veterans benefits that cost less per year than a days worth of folly in Iraq? That is not a veteran's actions. Those are the actions of The Profiteer. The Senators actions belie his words, and he is not a veteran that this veteran would trusts.
And I'm a super-American-voice; my family are North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountain Hillbilly charter members.

McCain for No Change
People,
I'm a troubled soul and my teeth don't fit properly, but I still don't work my jaw around as much as Senator John McCain. Every time I see the Senator, he seems exasperated with the ignorance that questions him. If we were all enlightened then, of course, we would agree with him. Meanwhile, isn't it bothersome, all these questions? He reminds me of old men I bothered as a kid.
Admiral Grandpa and Admiral Pa never faced this type of scrutiny. Admirals give orders, make choices, mold worlds. Nobody questioned the admirals. The military is authoritarian. John McCain is a military man. Can you see where I'm going with this? I'm just getting started, too.
I got shit to say about Senator McCain. First thing, it would be best to leave 'wives' out of the campaign. A word of the wise to the McCain campaign.
Secondly, I don't want anyone who suffered at the hands of captors as long as Senator McCain did as President.
I respect the Senator, however, he failed his mission, was captured, was unable to escape, and has to be scarred, deeply, from the experience. I don't want little voices in the night, or the necessity to exert his 'power' (free at last from the cage) running the country.
I've said it before, too. If they'll do anything to get elected, don't elect them. And the tactics. I saw the original debate where Obama said he would 'talk' with our adversaries. First Hillary, and now McCain, distort that statement way out of proportion. Dirty tactics. McCain should recognize someone's got to lose, and take the high road. Win or lose, 2 to 1 he's dead in eight years, regardless. A vote for McCain is a vote for no change.
VOTE for ISOLATIONISM and IMPERIALISM.
VOTE for ISOLATIONISM and IMPERIALISM.
First we disband all international companies. Afterward, we cancel all debt owed to foreign countries and freeze all monies in American banks. As part of our new Isolationist Government, we will allow no money to leave the country, keep all monies in the country, and seize all foreign assets. There will be no imports and no exports. If we need it and don't have it, we'll initialize the Imperialistic half of the new Government. conquer and exploit. Kick their ass, make 'em a state, give 'em a fair cut.
The American way. Don't question me; my forefathers fought, kicked ass, and created states from the country's inception: the American way!
Everybody feel better politically about your choices now?

The Danger...
.......I wrote of on Jan. 28 in an E titled, "It's not about race", looms closer on the horizon today. In that e I asked," Will they( Obama supporters) accept a defeat if non-black voters do not support the Senator and then claim, "It's not about race"? It would now appear non-black voters are supporting the Senator in at least enough numbers to give him the nomination.
Now I worry that Senator Obama could win the majority of delegates and the popular vote, and then lose because of the "super delegates", thus, igniting deeply held feelings of racial inequity that would result in rioting and social unrest. Possibly civil war.
IF I was a Black American and Sen. Obama was the popular vote and delegate winner, and then somehow was not the candidate, I would question everything about America . And regardless of the visible, initial reactions, the designation of Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee without a clear cut victory would be a devisive disaster for the nation; An alienating action to Black Americans that would set race relations back fifty years.
It's obvious The Clinton campaign is not going to concede. On the contrary, the more the nomination appears to slip from Hillary's hands, the nastier she and Bill become ! Is she enough of a stateswoman to gracefully bow out for the good of the party and the election of a Democrat? HELL NO....... But would the Clintons and the Party pull some political, backdoor, curveball in order to win the nomination for Hillary, even at the expense of the nations race relations? That's what "Florida and Michigan recounts", and "super delegates" sound like, to me. That would be dangerous to the nation as as whole.
An additional danger is if the campaign continues to be ugly and escalates any further then it already should not have, the democrats will weaken themselves to the point McBush could win. Now thats dangerous.
But, when political strategists theorize one candidates supporters will be so turned off by the other candidates nomination that they will not vote, or switch affiliation and vote Republican, I believe it could be much worse: I dare say it, "If Sen.Obama goes into the convention with the most delegates, He damn well better come out the nominee".
Or we can play "Burning down the House". In other words, Black America is supporting Senator Obama in the 90+ percentiles, should by some hook or crook Hillary Clinton get the nomination, and Black America see it as a robbery, I can almost see Oprah throwing Molotav cocktails! After the Gore\2001 robbery and eight years of Bush, I may want to join the revolution. (can't bite the hand that feeds me).
I'll repeat my words of Jan28;
The Obama campaign promises to illustrate how tolerant, mature, evolved, and hypocritical we are as a nation. And I dare say it now: It is about race, and a myriad of other qualities that have nothing to do with race, but, should Senator Obama lose, "race" will then be a major issue. If he wins: History marches on, he's the first, there will be others.
In the coming months, America will learn something about her people: They don't live in a Grey World.
Red state, Blue state, Revealing me and you state.
In the now infamous words of the Reverend Wright, " Hillary Clinton will never know what it's like to be a black man in a society and culture controlled by rich white men." Neither does anybody else whom isn't a black man, I would imagine, BUT, the Reverend seems to know of a frustration, or anger, or power hidden deep within the unsatisfied souls of his delegation. Watch the congregation as they nod and agree with his words. They seem to know what the Reverend is speaking of. These are affluent Blacks whom lack for nothing, yet they share the Reverends feelings. And in the event that Senator Obama should get cheated out of the nomination for President, those feelings will become dangerous. It will be like a war cry to revolt against a society and culture controlled by rich white men.

The Day Before Payday
It's the day before payday. I had left over meatloaf for breakfast. My first cup of coffee had milk and sugar in it; all the creamer is gone, now the milk is too. I'm out of bread and eggs, Pepsi, bagels, cheese, and chocolate milk also. From this point the list becomes infinite, suffice to say, payday will arrive none too soon.
Life is so wonderful. Living in thirty day cycles within five year goals isn't so great, but every day an inch. I feel like the goal-less worm. It will happen and I will get there. Don't ask where, if you think about our ultimate destination, inching towards it is much too fast. Just another five years, ten or fifteen times will do, maybe. I was looking for one hundred and five but the closer I get, the better one hundred and fifty looks. I need more time to get things right. If 'only the good die young', isn't that like a war-cry for misbehaving? Do only the wicked get old, or only after avoiding dying young do they repent and become good old people?
Is John McBush really a war-monger? Does Hillary Clinton realize that her idea and description of dodging bullets in Bosnia is an insult to service people who have served under-fire? Does Hillary Clinton know? Hillary will never know what it is like to be a black man in a society and culture controlled by rich white people. Hillary will never know what it is to be a poor, bald man without a Harvard education, living in a shack, in a society and culture controlled by rich white people. Barack Obama will never know what it's like to be from Arkansas either, or a woman; or married to Bill. Hell, I can never know a lot of things that being me inherently prohibits. I can only imagine what being married to me would be like.
Sounds to me like black churches lay a double whammy on their followers; the only way to heaven is through the Son (inclusive/exclusive), and you better stay strong with God to fight white supremacy. That means coming to Church to get your lessons in divisiveness. What we really need is a 9/11 in space with an alien Al Qaeda that is bright-green and has three arms. That would give everybody a common enemy. Earthling or not! I'm glad I got this out today, cos tomorrow I'll have money and no time for this bullshit.

Mine For the Day
It gets worse everyday, this election process. Sen. Hillary already sounds like a sore loser, like she had something stolen from her, and Sen. Obama like a smarter Jesse Jackson. I still like the short guy with the red headed wife. Obama is not the man to run the country at this point. Hillary isn't the woman. If Hillary could just be a black man I think we'd have a democratic candidate.
Has any Presidential candidate before pulled such overwhelming support from the black vote? Is it about race? Ask Oprah who she would have supported if all the candidates were white? Undoubtedly a woman? Isn't her audience predominately female? Yet she supports a male over the female candidate? Race over gender? Like something from Oprah. The hypocrisy of that speaks for itself!
Now here is the question... In this year of 2008, when most socially conscious Americans living in an enlightened world condemn racism, at least publicly, why is it sooooooo important to black Americans to elect a black man President? I don't know. Obviously, I am not a black American.
When I talk to my friends, white, middle class-assholes for the most part, like me, I don't get the impression that 80% of them will vote against Sen. Obama because he's black. Are 80% of woman voting for Sen. Clinton? How about 80% of non-black women? If 'it's not about race' is a lie and it is about race, is race really the right criteria to elect a President?
McCain for no change. I think we better start the process again..... America still needs a next President, or at least a good actor.... c'mon Fred.
